FAQ

What brands of makeup do you use?

I use a wide variety of high end, well known brands as well as some pro favorites that you may or may not be familiar with to fit my client’s needs.

Do you offer airbrush makeup?

Yes! We offer airbrush as an add-on service to any makeup service.

We work with the best and most modern airbrush equipment and formulas from Temptu. Our airbrush service is ideal for clients who sweat and will be in a humid climate due to heat or rain. It’s amazing for dry skin because it helps your skin look youthful and also perfect for oily skin because the formula is literally bulletproof and stays all day. The sealant spray (our very last step in our airbrush services) is the game changer. That’s what makes it waterproof. Tears, sweat and raindrops literally just roll off without disturbing the makeup. You can just dab a tear with a tissue and the makeup stays the same. It leaves such a beautiful finish and with so many amazing benefits, every client and bridal party who has opted to add it on is IN LOVE with the results!

Do you have a minimum booking requirement?

Yes. My minimum booking requirement is 6 people (Bride + 5) for weddings. If your headcount is less than that, you can still book, however, the dollar minimum (equal to Bride + 5) is still required.

My Bridal party is huge! Do you work alone? Can I hire you and another makeup artist I have in mind so you can each do half of my bridal party?

KaylaKollection Artistry has a team of Pro Makeup Artists! They work alongside me during larger bridal parties and I've personally trained them myself. They’re exceptional artists and meticulous about their work, just like me! I will not except wedding jobs in which there is another makeup artist or artistry team involved. However, we are happy to work alongside fellow hairstylist!

Can you help me coordinate my wedding day timeline?

Of course! When the number of people receiving makeup services has been finalized, I will craft a custom timeline that will help keep your getting ready process on track!

I love your style! When should I book?

I have brides who book one year (sometimes further) in advance. If you’re ready, don’t wait! BOOK NOW before all of your favorite wedding vendors are booked on your day. It’s just one more thing to get checked off your list!

Are trial run sessions required?

Although a trial run session is not “required”, I do recommend booking one.

Your wedding day is not the day to be deciding on colors and making changes to your makeup look. During your trial, we have time to go a little slower, talk about your preferences and what’s going to work best for you.

How far in advance should I schedule my trial run?

I prefer to do bridal trial run sessions about 3 months prior to your wedding date. Here’s why…

3 months before your wedding is the “sweet spot”. Most brides have made final decisions on colors, how they will wear their hair, etc. I’ve found that when trial sessions are done too far in advance, wedding details may have changed and thus the bride may want to change or adjust her look. A second trial run is the LAST resort due to the fact that my schedule will usually not allow for this additional time and it’s also an additional fee for the bride.

Do you stay during the wedding to touch up my makeup throughout the day/evening?

Yes! Although your makeup application will be completed using techniques to achieve a long lasting look - if you’re a heavy crier (I don’t blame you girl!), have very oily skin (I feel you!), or opt in for a bold or bright lip that you want to stay in tip top shape all night, then this is a great option for any bride who doesn’t want to worry about touching up her own makeup during her wedding day festivities. This is an additional service and is charged my the hour.
